What Is A Quickie?
A quickie is a blog post.
Normally a writer sends a blog post to another writer. The writer edits the piece and returns this copy to the sender, along with any suggestions or notes. This exchange goes on till the original writer (and editor) are happy and a finished post is ready to publish on a website.
A quickie is self-edited.
The writer drafts the quickie directly onto the web page and publishes immediately.
The subject matter can meander through the post and there are no content restrictions.
A quickie could have both spelling and grammatical errors. But we hope not.
After a public spat published within a quickie between members of the Association, the quicky remains in the authors ownership. This means only the author has the authority to add, subtract, edit their own quickie.
