It is about time the people of the world spoke together

That subtitle might be a pipe dream, but I am hoping not. It is time the politicians and leaders that call manmade global warning a hoax to stop getting our attention. It is time that the commentators that want to deny human beings caused this calamity to have the same status as flat earthers: entitled to think as they please even if those thoughts expose them to a charge of stupid.

Political view?

This is no longer a right versus left political fight. This is no longer something that classes you as conservative or liberal. This has no bearing on whether you can carry a gun, hate woke, or believe billionaires need to pay more tax to provide public services.

This is the moment that human beings become the greatest they have ever been.

The fires that raged across the world on nearly every continent must be the final warning sign

We should Insist

Politicians who deny the human element behind the hot temperatures should not win any election. Those that are in power need to sit with those they naturally oppose and agree what is best for the planet not just the interests of corporate masters – or the whims of their electors affected by policies to stop the greenhouse gases.

The leaders of companies that object, because their profitability will decline, must be replaced in those companies. And if the only ‘freedom’ we must remove them is spending, then we must avoid these products.

Even if this means growth, wealth, whether personal or national suffers then: SO BE IT!

The Capitalist Solution

Best to suffer now than the long suffering we will have to endure later. A suffering that we shall pass on to our children. A suffering they will curse quite rightly on our heads to our grandchildren. Do you really want your grandchildren ashamed to mention your name because of what you did to their planet?

Donald Trump May think his misdemeanours are a witch hunt now, let us show every company and politician what a witch hunt really looks like.

Those companies that proclaim their ‘green’ agenda for financial gain, but it is just advertising will reap the real reward for their lies. When all the petroleum companies, those built on fossil fuels either quit existing or change into green energy companies will the embargo stop.

Take the last three by-elections in England. One in London was a narrow result. The reaction of the desperate politicians of both parties was to talk about rolling back a green agenda. They made the clean air agenda the reason for victory/defeat. Quite simply a rolling back of green policies should not be a strategy for winning an election. It may win in the short term, but humanity loses in the long term. Is power for a few years, worth the decline of humanity.

It is time to say NO.

What if we do not say No?

The earth will continue. Our earth will continue spinning and moving around the sun. There may even still be life upon it. There could even be areas where that is human life.

We have had all the warnings. We have basked in the glory of our achievements. We have gone to the moon, put vehicles on Mars, fought disease, developed technology that allows us to share ideas across the human world.

It is time for humanity to start a fire of change. A raging heat that burns scorn on those that want to deny humanity of a future prosperous life.

Life is about connection. On a planet of billions, there are only two – you and me.
