To those new to the concept of drabbles: A drabble is a story in one hundred words. According to Wikipedia the drabble was conceived in the 1980s and the name came from a Monty Python sketch. A challenge for all budding authors to tell a story with brevity while still maintaining interest.
After avoiding the exercise for so long I finally caved and in the space of two days wrote a few. It is challenging to say the least. The biggest is the 100 words. It is not under 100 or around 100. It is exactly 100 words including the title.
Do you think you could write a drabble? Try it. No word challenge, no time limit. If you can manage to tell a story in exactly 100 words, I can manage to publish the drabble on my site.
