The background to our first guest blogger.
This is not a bio. She has a bio on her WordPress profile.
Mia and I met through a friend. Mia wanted to write as a hobby. She called her hobby, scribblings, but she wanted to go further. We chatted for a while about the art of writing. Everyone has a walk in writing. Some feel they want to learn, and they take courses attend seminars, study. Others, like my friend and I, just write.
Sparks sang, “How do you get to Carnegie Hall…. Practice, boy, Practice.
That was the advice I passed on to Mia. She did and authored three short stories. I enjoyed her style and suggested she advance on to a full novel. I am still waiting.
She has written a few blog posts. I offered to help her set up her own blog, but she refused. “Being a guest writer suits my style more,” she told me as we shared a coffee one lunch time, “I don’t want the pressure of having to write every day.”
She does like a confession.
Within our little group of bloggers, we have a quickie. The term, for us just means an unedited piece written directly to the website. The writer edits as they write and publishes when they finish. On the websites that I own, I see it as a badge of trust in the writer.
If you are new to Mia, these are her earlier blog postings.
