Nigel, co-founder of the Wingerworth Writers Association and owner of WWA-Imprint, reflects on his life journey from a working-class upbringing in Lincoln to becoming a writer. Born in the mid-1960s, he faced challenges at school, leaving without qualifications, but eventually found a passion for language and literature while pursuing further education. Despite early rejections in publishing, Nigel channelled his life experiences into writing. After years of various low-paid jobs, he settled into a satisfying career with Royal Mail. Now married with a blended family, Nigel enjoys a sense of contentment and aims to create authentic narratives reflecting working-class life.
